More for my Christmas pile!...

Good Morning! A couple more 'Clean and Simple' cards to add to the pile! I did a little multitasking yesterday....making candles and cards, my two favorite things to do!....I used my new stamps from Your Next Stamp, I just love those Reindeer....I'm also loving the Clean and Simple approach!!!...

If I keep going like this I'll be ready with my Christmas cards on time!!!

Convention Time....

I spent Friday with a great group of friends out at the Scrapbook Convention in Mesa held at the convention center, we managed to do lunch, squeeze in a visit to ETC (formally Scrapbooks etc) and returned to the convention center to finish off shopping the booths! The convention was much busier this year than last. I picked up some goodies to add to the ever growing pile, it's time I got to using some of it! A quick pic of my haul and a pic of the new Easel Card die and the make and take using it from Art Impressions....I HAD to have it!......I have several ideas floating around my brain already!

It's a start!....

Remember back in August I received my happy package from Stamping Bella? Well, I did ink up a couple of them and color them, here they are finally finished! Very clean and simple because IF I do manage make my Christmas cards this year they need to be simple!!!..

All I have to do now is get cracking and ink up the rest, right!?!?

Happy Masking!!!

I think it was last week when I was watching Jennifer McGuire on YouTube, she was testing the new masking pen by Molotow....it looked AWESOME....as per, everyone is out of stock of this wonderful looking new happy sooooo I broke out the rubber cement. Yep, good old rubber cement! I decanted it into a fine tipped bottle and off I went! I've again taken some step by step pics so you get the idea. Basically all you have to do is stamp your image, cover it with rubber cement...be careful not to go out of the lines....let it dry and then either go ahead and create your background or continue stamping to create endless scenes. Once you've finished creating gently rub the rubber cement off your image...it's like magic! Go ahead and color your image, I used my Letraset Promarkers and noticed no difference with the surface of the paper....Score!!! The best bit for me, NO SCISSORS!!! If you know me you know I avoid scissors like the plague! No more cutting out masks for me not that I did very often because well, scissors had to be involved!!! I will grab one of the pens to try when they become readily available because it looked truly awesome....but for now I'm LOVING good old rubber cement!...

A little play with a new tool!!!....

My friend Donna at The Paper Cutters sent me a link this morning to  YouTube on using the We r Memory keepers Fuse tool. I hunted this tool down weeks and weeks ago and I briefly cracked the packaging to test it. I took a few step by step pics to give you some idea on how I used the Fuse to come up with the shaker element for this card....

LOVE Doodlebug!!!.....

When I got to the store last week Doodlebug Paper was in.....if you didn't already know Doodlebug is one of my all time favorite paper companies!.....I did a li'l happy dance in my head....I wait....not very patiently....every year for their Halloween and Christmas collections to come out...Easter too now I come to think about it!!! So, I scooped me up an armful of this years papers and this is what I came up with, two classes one Halloween and the other Christmas. They both use the same folds, and that little treat box is one sheet of card stock just folded up!!! Just by changing up the papers you can get a whole different look! The Halloween class will be October 12th and the Christmas class will be October 26th, both classes will be the usual 10:30 - 1:30. The samples are already in the store, give Scraps of Love in Peoria a call if you'd like to come join in the fun of putting these happies together!...
