My last class at The Craft Retreat

I have a class coming up this coming Friday at The Craft Retreat.
Sadly it's going to be my last one at this lovely, happy little store.
After five years it's going to be closing it's doors for good at the
end of June. I'm so sad, and I truly wish I'd found this 'happy place'
much sooner than I did! However as they say.... When one door closes
Another one opens.....I'm certain sure that this is going to happen for me!
Watch this space and I'll keep you posted!!!
On to my class.... One for the Boys....a set of happy little creations for
those little chappies in our lives! I don't very often do 'boy' cards, yet I'm
surrounded by them at home, but I had such fun using this cute Doodlebug
line of papers 'Hip, Hip Hooray'.

Inside...

I'm going to spend some time 'playing in my cave' over the next few weeks
in between traveling with my Hubby, so check back and I'll show you what
I've been up too!!!

Clearly Different!

See I told you I wouldn't let time go by so fast before getting
back to blog land and keeping you updated!
I taught a class to my lovely ladies at The Craft Retreat
Yesterday. Instead of using cardstock bases I used
Clear 'card stock' by Bazzill. You can use it just the same
as you would any other cardstock. The only advice I would
give is use glue dots!, even then take care because once you
stick something down that's it it's down and there is no wiggle room
to be had!!!
Here goes....

It wasn't easy getting pictures without glare but I think you can get the idea
of just how versatile clears 'cardstock' is.
I have another class in a couple of weeks....watch this space for the samples!

It's been a while!

WOW! Where does the time go?
I have a few pics of projects to show you, Easter,
Mother's Day, and some Birthday cards. All done in class
With my lovely group of ladies. Here goes Easter first....

I used a mix of my silhouette cameo, dies from impression obsession and sizzix and various
punches for this little group of happys. I think I like designing for Easter almost as much as
I enjoy coming up with ideas for Christmas! Oh!....and I also did a 'happy hour' class...this
is a project than you can finish in an hour, and I came up with this cute Bunny Banner.
I thought it was cute anyway!
Next I came up with a project that could be used for Mother's Day, I did a set of various quotes
so that it could be used for other occasions, and while we were in class my ladies came up with
various other ideas that you could use it for....
The outside

and the inside. When it's closed it sort of looks like a book, and then on the inside you
can put a photo along with the quote of your choice.
Ok! Now for some Birthday cards! When I saw this paper by Carte Bella I loved it! I loved the
colors, I loved the patterns and I used the 6x6 pad which I also loved!....the scale was
just.....lovely!

The inside
For this next 'card' I used the We are Memory Keepers envelope punch board to create
the drawer part.

Phew! This is turning into a mammoth post!.....hope you're not asleep yet!!!
Next up another 'happy hour' project, the strawberries are big enough to put
little treats in and the seed packet can hold a gift card.
Don't you just love those little ants???
Last but by no means least, a little circle easel card I did for a make and take, we have so
many golf courses and golfers here in The Valley of the Sun that I thought this little image
was quite fitting.

Ok that's it....a post as long as a roll of wallpaper! I promise I will not let this
happen again, it's almost like reading a bedtime story! I do have a couple
of classes coming up over the next couple of weeks so watch this space!
