I got some new toys!.....and here's what I made...

Look at my lovely little stash of 'new toys'....

First off I used the MFT Blueprints #14 die set to create this box...
the decoration not the box......

The box is a class that I'll be teaching at the end of August.
It will be filled with six cards....more on those later! Keep a look out
for them!
Next I came up with this little happy....

I used the MFT Sequin die to make the little sequins in the shaker, my
thought was that by using card stock sequins they wouldn't be as 'staticky'
as the real thing, and stick to the acetate. Well, they were a little initially but they soon settled.
So not only did they work really well BUT you can create your sequins out of any color card stock
you choose....double whammy!!!
Finally I used the MFT background die to create this little lovely!...super easy, super quick!

All those holes! I love it! I also used the flower, leaves and little ticket from the
MFT Blueprints #14 set, I Love, Love, LOVE this die set!!!

Yet another bit of a wallpaper post I'm afraid but I had so much fun playing that
I just had to share!!!

Happy Birthday Evy!

I finally made it into my craft room today and made a couple of Birthday Cards for my niece back home in the UK. I've been wanting to 'go play' for a while but life keeps getting in the way!! The little store I worked and taught at finally closed it's doors on June 30th. I shall miss it and all the lovely customers and ladies who came to class enormously. As they say 'as one door closes another one opens' so hopefully I'll be back to teaching classes in the valley very soon. Watch this space!!!

My last class at The Craft Retreat

I have a class coming up this coming Friday at The Craft Retreat.
Sadly it's going to be my last one at this lovely, happy little store.
After five years it's going to be closing it's doors for good at the
end of June. I'm so sad, and I truly wish I'd found this 'happy place'
much sooner than I did! However as they say.... When one door closes
Another one opens.....I'm certain sure that this is going to happen for me!
Watch this space and I'll keep you posted!!!
On to my class.... One for the Boys....a set of happy little creations for
those little chappies in our lives! I don't very often do 'boy' cards, yet I'm
surrounded by them at home, but I had such fun using this cute Doodlebug
line of papers 'Hip, Hip Hooray'.

Inside...

I'm going to spend some time 'playing in my cave' over the next few weeks
in between traveling with my Hubby, so check back and I'll show you what
I've been up too!!!

Clearly Different!

See I told you I wouldn't let time go by so fast before getting
back to blog land and keeping you updated!
I taught a class to my lovely ladies at The Craft Retreat
Yesterday. Instead of using cardstock bases I used
Clear 'card stock' by Bazzill. You can use it just the same
as you would any other cardstock. The only advice I would
give is use glue dots!, even then take care because once you
stick something down that's it it's down and there is no wiggle room
to be had!!!
Here goes....

It wasn't easy getting pictures without glare but I think you can get the idea
of just how versatile clears 'cardstock' is.
I have another class in a couple of weeks....watch this space for the samples!
